Please welcome Shauntelle Hollett to the staff of IUPAT DC 17. Born into a trades family, Shauntelle has 8 years experience as an Industrial Painter, her NACE CIP Inspector Peer Review, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge. Shauntelle has been hired as an additional IUPAT DC 17 Instructor. Based in Edmonton, Shauntelle will travel our district footprint as necessary serving our members’ training needs. In addition to the usual Health & Safety instruction (e.g., OSSA, United Academy), DC 17 intends to enroll Shauntelle in the SSPC instructor cue. Likewise, Shauntelle will help invigorate our Industrial Skills program, as these nascent courses are the beginning versions of our Saskatchewan Industrial Apprenticeship. Also, Shauntelle will help enable IUPAT DC 17 to deliver the General Mine Safety Awareness training per new policies of the Saskatchewan Mining Association (‘everyone’ must have by June 30, 2018). W/ the addition of Shauntelle, this helps frees IUPAT DC 17 Director of Training up for inevitable Administration duties associated w/ anticipated Apprenticeships and Grants.

Shauntelle, welcome aboard.
